CLUE-Santa Barbara is a 501(c)(3) network of interfaith community leaders and members organized to address root causes of local economic and social injustices to those marginalized in Santa Barbara County. Our work is rooted in shared interfaith values of compassion, human dignity, and economic equity. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law: EIN. 264818689.

Accomplishments During 2025

We applied shared, spiritual/faith-based values to successfully advocate for economic justice:

Criminal Justice: County Supervisors funded essential improvements in medical and mental health care for jail residents. CLUE-SB’s research and participation helped criminal justice officials identify safe, community-based alternatives to jail for those accused of low level crimes.

Housing Justice: Santa Barbara City Council budgeted $5 million for the next two fiscal years, for the Housing Trust Fund to leverage and create affordable housing. CLUE-SB was a lead advocate for this successful effort.

Environmental Justice: CLUE-SB helped persuade County Supervisors to not approve the unsafe Sable pipeline for oil transport, and to phase-out oil extraction.

Immigrant Justice:  CLUE-SB allied with 805Undocument Fund and Immigrant Legal Defense Center to advocate for due process for undocumented residents and to help traumatized families and communities left behind.
