QUIENES SOMOS
El grupo de Trabajo de Justicia Habitacional de CLUE aboga por la vivienda asequible controlada por la comunidad, la protección de inquilinos y propietarios de hipotecas contra el desplazamiento y el desalojo injusto, y apoya los esfuerzos por la estabilización de los alquileres.
QUE HACEMOS
En cualquier noche, hay aproximadamente 2,000 personas sin hogar en el Condado de Santa Bárbara. Los alquileres en aumento superan con creces los ingresos de los hogares. Muchos de nuestros trabajadores se ven obligados a pasar horas viajando para trabajar.
Nos asociamos con organizaciones locales que luchan por lograr la justicia de vivienda. Nuestro papel es llegar a las comunidades de todas las religiones. Proveemos información y hacemos presentaciones con la esperanza de involucrarlos en los temas de justicia de vivienda.
COMO PUEDES PARTICIPAR
Únete a la lista de correos de CLUE, así como a la de otras organizaciones activistas de vivienda. Asiste a foros públicos. Expresa tu opinión en audiencias gubernamentales. Conviértete en un participante activo en la lucha por lograr la justicia de vivienda en Santa Bárbara.
Hazte miembro de CLUE-SB (envía un correo a clue@cluesb.org) y comparte nuestro boletín informativo y alertas de acción. Mantente informado sobre cuándo y cómo asistir a reuniones públicas, contactar a los responsables de tomar decisiones y publicar en redes sociales.
WHO WE ARE
CLUE’s Housing Justice Workgroup advocates for affordable community-controlled housing, the protection of renters and mortgage-holders from displacement and unfair eviction, and supports efforts at rent stabilization.
WHAT WE DO
On any given night there are some 2,000 unhoused people in Santa Barbara County. Skyrocketing rents greatly outpace household income. Many of our working people are forced to spend hours commuting.
We partner with local organizations striving to achieve housing justice. Our role is to reach out to communities of all faiths. We provide information and make presentations in hopes of involving them in housing justice issues.
HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE
Get on CLUE’s email list, as well as those of other housing activist organizations. Attend public forums. Speak out at government hearings. Become an active participant in the struggle to achieving housing justice in Santa Barbara.
Become a CLUE member (email clue@cluesb.org) and share our newsletter and Action Alerts. Know when and how to show up at public meetings, contact decision makers, and post on social media.
