  • Criminal Justice Action Alert

    The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors is considering a costly expansion of the North Branch Jail that would divert funding from critical community services without improving public safety.

    We urge Supervisors to limit construction to one housing unit and invest instead in mental health care, addiction treatment, and proven prevention strategies.

    This is an urgent action alert regarding Sable Offshore Corp. and an upcoming closed-session meeting of the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors on Monday, January 5. We are asking community members to contact key Supervisors to urge them to enforce their recent denial of Sable’s application and protect our coast and environment. For more information and suggested actions, please read the details below.
